Isaac's First Birthday

We have some photos of Isaac's first birthday from our friends. We gathered at the local park and enjoyed a perfect San Diego Saturday.

Here is Isaac enjoying one of his favorite games with his buddy Liam. Liam loves to push his Handy Manny cart, and Isaac loves to be pushed on it. This works out great for the two buds.

Isaac getting ready to tear into his cake.

mmmm it smells goooood.

Technical Difficulties

We recently purchased what we thought was a wonderful camera, but it has proved to be a little technologically advanced for our lifestyle. Will we abandon it? No, we will never give up, but it has won a few battles.

The first battle was uploading pictures and long videos to our computer. Due to the style of technology these days, if you upgrade one thing that depends on others to function, you must upgrade everything. Our computer proved to be to wimpy for the camera. Due to this wimpiness, we LOST Isaac's first birthday. Gasp!

We have done everything suggested to us to recover the pictures, but unfortunately they are GONE!

This is why, in case you were wondering, Isaac's first birthday has not made it to the blog.

Our wonderful friends who joined us to celebrate Isaac's first year took many pictures and are in the process of sending those to us, so SOON we will post the first birthday party.

Fun was had by all at the party, we blew bubbles, pushed each other around in carts, played on slides and of course the cake. Isaac devoured his cake, which I am proud to say Ryan and I made and decorated all by ourselves.

So, here is a picture of Isaac and his buddy Nolan at Nolan's first birthday. Isaac is just one week older than him. You can get a good idea of how the I's man is looking these days. Needless to say, he is a bit of a peanut, but full of spunk and joy. We adore him each day and celebrate all his triumphs.

Just as a run down of his skills in case you were curious. He is not walking, but warming up to standing on his own more. He says all kinds of words, knows body parts and what sounds animals make. He continues to be a wild man at home, and is reserved and observant when out and about. Oh, and the teeth. Poor Isaac grows his teeth in bulk, from what I can see in his mouth right now, he has 6 pushing in. He also met his baby cousin who is 7 mo younger than him. He loved Peter, held his hand and shared his toys. He always showed concern for Peter when he cried. My sister and I have great plans for these two when they get older.

Stay posted for the birthday pics.
