pseudo grip on cy-dog, keepin warm. best buds forever!

there was a fire on Sunday morning, around 9.30am, just down the street. i ran to witness the scene, purely out of curiosity if it was a car or house that caught (i presumed house, but wanted to confirm). the help was on the scene, meaning the fire department and some police officials. it was quite unfortunate to see the poor handling of the situation by each party, namely when the fire truck couldn't make the alley turn due to power line and all they had to do was come from the other side of the block and just blast through the nice Lexas to make the turn (though note there was already one firetruck down the alley, so maybe it's best to not have two trucks facing eachother in the small alley? afterthought, clearly), and the police (squad car 429) stirring back and forth becoming what seemed to be confused and irritated by the folk that continued to drive down the "street of activity". after watching and becoming anxious myself i just about volunteered to stand at the street entrance and block the incoming, but then the policeman did come to sense and park his car at the entrance - problem solved. maybe the most humorous part was seeing the elderly gentleman leave his car parked (on the corner that the firetruck was attempting to get by) and while the police and "witnesses" (more like entertainment seekers) became nearly hostile with their demanding of the man to move his car, the man was as calm as ever and simply wasn't interested in cooperating. because of why? i have no freaking idea. he was surrounded in the flurry of activity, and still didn't give the time of day for the convenience of others. all the while the poor Folk's house is burning to the ground, which started from within an attached shed with a supposed series of small explosions, the initial fire of which was attempted to be put out by our friend Marc who heard someone yell "fire!!" while in his house across the street. unfortunately the fire extinguisher was old and didn't have any juice left in 'er, and the scurry began to get Husband and Wife out of the house safely. a house that the Man built with His hands. WITH HIS BLOODY HANDS!! no joke. i seen it with my own three eyes.

two things to take away here - 1. get a good fire extinguisher and test it every once in a while. could be you or your neighbor that needs help. 2. go get it if ya haven't yet. 3. a third. when there's an emergency, try not to panic and go crazy along with the energy of the scene - be the Cool that the emergency needs to get executed properly. everyone will benefit from such Coolness.

pssst.... don't look to your right. i think i see a grumpster....
